Parks and rECO

The Maricopa County Parks and Rec Department in Arizona is building this awesome visitors center which is pursuing LEED certification.  Desert vegetation and solar PV will share the roof to generate energy while reducing water runoff and insulate the building.  Another awesome feature will be the digital dashboard readout in the building informing visitors of the energy being used and generated by the building.  This building will be the prototype for three other identical buildings that Maricopa County Parks and Rec will build in the future.  Its refreshing to see these eco-friendly educational buildings being constructed.
